The project will see the proposed construction of a world-scale methanol-ammonia-urea complex based on the Mnazi Bay gas strike of Tanzania.
The plant will produce 1.26 million tonnes per year of methanol, and associated facilities some 800,000 tonnes per annum of ammonia and possibly a 305,000 tonnes per annum urea plant.
In late 2010 Wentworth mandated Nexant, to conduct a screening study of all possible gas monetisation solutions for Mnazi Bay gas.
