By end of 2015 crude oil production from Bahregan oilfield will be increased at least 35 thousand barrels. Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) is the operator of the oilfield. This oilfield is located 56 kilometres, west of Bahregan District in Iran. It includes 7 satellite platforms with 12 wells. A forerunner in Iran’s offshore oil sector, Bahregan oil field first started producing oil in mid 1950s and currently produces 235,000 barrels of oil per day. The oil produced from Bahregansar platform is transferred to onshore installations of Bahregan District for treatment and storage by a 16 inch pipeline. In-place oil of Bahregan is estimated over 21.47 billion barrels of which 2.39 I exploitable. Meanwhile the amount of in-place gas is evaluated to be around 1.46 tcf of which 1.11 tcf is exploitable. The project includes new storage facilities of one million barrel and a 2.2 million-barrel floating storage unit (FSU).
