Godah is located in the Masila Basin, block 32 in Yemen. DNO took over Block 32 in 1998 from Clyde Petroleum and Norsk Hydro. Godah, was discovered in 2006 and is expected to produce 6 million barrels of oil. DNO started exploration in the Godah area based on a discovery of natural gas on the neighboring Block 14 to the south. The Godah reservoir consists of a thin sandstone layer, which at its thickest is not more than four metres. At 31 December 2011, 12 wells have been drilled and put in production; total production to date is 3.9 million barrels. The remaining economic gross reserves are 1.6 million barrels of oil. DNO\'s WI share is estimated to 0.7 million barrels. TransGlobe holds 13.8% working interest in Block 32. Block 32 is operated by DNO ASA with 38.95% interest. On June 2012, DNO made a new commercial oil discovery with its Godah-2 well on Yemen\'s Block 32 near the Tasour field. The well was drilled to evaluate the extent of the oil accumulation found at the Godah-1 exploration well. Godah-2 hit the Qishn S-1A sands 20 metres lower than at Godah-1. Godah-2 flowed at a stabilised rate of 1,160 barrels per day of oil and 117,000 cubic feet per day of gas during tests. The well was suspended as a potential oil producer.
