Halabja project is an oil and gas project taken place in the Halabja town of Northern Iraq, about 150 miles (240 km) northeast of Baghdad and 8–10 miles from the Iranian border. Gazprom Neft secured an 80% operating stake in the Halabja project with the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) holding the remaining 20%. The reserves are estimated between 630 million and 790 million barrels.
