Block CI-27 is a large producing natural gas field. Block CI-27 already produces about 80 million cubic feet per day of natural gas from the offshore Foxtrot field developed in 1999. Gas is delivered for power generation and for industrial and commercial uses within Cote d\'Ivoire under long-term contracts. The Mahi-1 well is situated approximately five kilometres south of the Foxtrot platform.

Block CI-27 contains another previously-discovered natural gas fields Marlin oil and gas field, the nearby Manta gas field and Mahi field. Apache drilled the Foxtrot 1 and Foxtrot 2 wells on the deepwater Block CI-27.

Capital expenditures on Block CI-27 since 2010 have topped US$1bn, which included drilling of one exploration and two production wells between 2010 and 2012.

The Marlin and Manta gas fields have been brought on-stream after installing a four-legged, manned platform and related processing and pipeline infrastructure. One exploration and seven production wells were drilled by operator Foxtrot. (September, 2016)
