Project Profile


Location: 45km southwest of Kazeron near Kenar Takhteh city, Kazerun County, Fars Province, Iran
Production: 30,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd)
Reserves: 1 billion and 53 million barrels of in-situ crude (of which 270 million barrels of oil is recoverable)
Start-up year: March 2017

Khesht oilfield is located 45km southwest of Kazeron near Kenar Takhteh city Kazerun County, in Fars Province of Iran. According to initial estimates this field holds some 1 billion and 53 million barrels of in-situ crude, of which 270 million barrels of oil is recoverable. Iranian Central Oil Fields Company is the operator of the field, on behalf of the Iranian government. Once the project is fully operational, the field will yield 30,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd).

North Drilling Company (NDC) has clinched an EPC contract to drill three new wells, workover another one and build a processing centre at the Khesht oilfield. NDC is seeking a 2,000 hp rig with all related equipment, services and crew for at least a year.


Field Development Plan

Central Processing Facilities (CPF): wellhead facilities, separation, desalting, gas compression, H2S stripper units and all associated facilities to process and export crude oil capacity of 30,000 bpd for gas injection recovery to wells and trasnportion of proceed oil by pipeline.

Gathering pipelines: four 6” pipeline of combined length of 24 km.

Export pipeline: 10” buried pipeline of 98 km in length, to export oil from CPF to Genaveh port.
