Shiraz (Pars) refinery is an oil refinery owned and operated by the Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) and located in the city of Shiraz, southwest Iran. The refinery will have a daily capacity to refine 120,000 barrels of condensate and produce a daily amount of 12 million litres of gasoline conforming to Euro-5 standard. Crude oil is fed to the refinery from the Gachsaran field via a 230 kilometre pipeline. The feedstock is used to produce liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), gasoline, jet fuel, kerosene, solvents, diesel, fuel oil, various kinds of pitch and sulfur at the refinery. The total investment reached the US$1.3 billion. NIOC has revoked a contract with the SKS Company for the implementation of the Shiraz Pars Refinery project, as the project will be entirely carried out by Iranian contractors. Shiraz Pars Refinery will be the first national condensate refinery in Iran. Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) has so far completed the basic engineering and designing of the refinery.
