The northern Kirkuk field, first discovered in 1927, forms the basis for northern Iraqi Oil production. One of eight fields on offer in Iraq\'s first post-war licensing round. The project will see the development of the Kirkuk field Iraq. The field has estimated reserves of 8.7 billion barrels and a production rate of 250,000 barrels of oil per day. Kirkuk is one of the largest fields in Northern Iraq. The field was included in the bidding round for international companies by the Iraq Government.

Contractors:
Air Energi: Contract with BP Iraq to deliver talent acquisition services to support BP Iraq’s operations in the Middle East. The agreement includes the supply of expatriate talent to support Rumaila and Kirkuk oil fields. Air Energi will supply personnel for the full project lifecycle, including exploration, appraisal, project execution, and production operations, as well as co-ordinating activity between BP’s head office in Sunbury and operational base in Iraq.
