The project will see the construction of an LNG import terminal in Lebanon. The project is part of a US$5bn major energy overhaul plan and it is at an early stage. The feasibility study suggested the offshore terminal to be located near the Zahrani power plant in Sayda. The proposed gas-to-power FSRU has a expected capacity of 3.5mtpa, with objective to supply gas to Deir Amar power plant. The tenders for the this project have been postponed and status is on hold due to political instability (2016).
