The project will see the exploration drilling and then development of oil discoveries in the area covered by product sharing contract (PSC) in Iraq, Kurdistan. In June of 2004, DNO entered into production sharing contracts with the Kurdistan Regional Government in Northern Iraq. As one of the first international oil companies to enter this highly prospective region, DNO holds a key position in developing the local oil industry. DNO is the operator for the areas covered by the contracts. was put into production in 2006. The Erbil and Dohuk are still at exploration stage.

DNO ASA: 75% interest in Tawke and 40% interest in Erbil and Dohuk
Kurdistan Regional Government: 5% interest in the PSC
Genel Energy: 25% working interest in Tawke
