Agbami Field is an oil field in Nigeria. Discovered in late 1998, it was the second major deepwater oil field discovered off the Niger Delta, the first being Bonga Field by Shell. The field is located in nearly 1,500 metres (4,900 ft) of water off the central Niger Delta.

Star Deep Petroleum Limited (Chevron): 67.3% interest

Statoil: 20.21% interest

Famfa Oil (an indigenous oil company owned by the Alakija Family of Lagos)

Petrobras (Brazil): Non-Operative interest

NNPC (the NOC of Nigeria)

Contractors:

Daewoo Shipping and Marine: FPSO EPC topsides contract.

FMC Technologies, Inc. (FTI): Order from Star Deep Water Petroleum Limited (a Chevron company), operator of the Agbami field, to provide subsea equipment for operations in the Agbami field.

Project Development International (PDi): US$2.2 million contract with Nigerian Marine Platforms Limited (MPL), to provide technical support to the Chevron Agbami Phase 3 transport, installation and pre-commissioning project. Due for completion in early Q2 2016, MPL has appointed PDi to support with onshore and offshore installation engineering activities in the Agbami Field, Nigeria’s largest deepwater development, located in central Niger Delta, west coast of Nigeria. The agreement involves PDi working alongside the MPL engineering team in their Lagos office to provide both project and structural engineering services, as well as installation analysis and offshore support. PDi will also provide specialist support in pre-commissioning, survey, geotechnical and procurement when required. (December, 2015)
