The project will see the exploration drilling and then development of a recent discovery in the Jeribe Formation at the Sarqala-1 exploration well in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. WesternZagros holds a Production Sharing Contract in the Kurdistan Region which provides for the exploration and development of crude oil and natural gas over a 2,120 square kilometre block (523, 826 acres or 818 square miles). Production from the Sarqala-1 well in the Garmian Block commenced on February 11, 2015, and for the remainder of the quarter averaged 5,221 barrels of oil per day (bbl/d). Commissioned the Sarqala production facility upgrades that increased processing capacity from 10,000 to 15,000 bbl/d with the capability to tie in future Sarqala development wells.
