The project will look to double the production capacity at the giant Darkhovin oil field. This will take production from 160,000 barrels per day to 240,000 barrels per day. The Darkhovin field was brought onstream in 2005 and has been producing about 100,000 b/d since December last year, when early second-phase production started.
