Hengam oil field is located 40 km south of Qeshm Island, 30 km away from Hengam Island and 70 km away from Iran’s shore. The structure of the Hengam oil field is similar to a big dome with approximately length of 24 kilometers and approximately width of 12 kilometres. The shared field with Oman is located in the eastern part of the Persian Gulf, 80 percent of it in Iranian territory. The field, 80% of which lie in the Iranian territory, is estimated to contain 700 million barrels of oil and 56 billion cubic metres of gas.
