Arash gas field is positioned on Iran-Kuwait’s water border and it is known as Dorra in the Kuwait part of the field. The field has an estimate gas reserve of one trillion cubic feet along with some 310 million barrels of oil. In August 2015, Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry summoned Hassan Zarnegar-Abarqu’ee to submit a protest letter after allegations that Iran had put the Arash field among a number of oil and gas projects up for development after the removal of sanctions. The Arash field (called Dorra by Kuwait) is the subject of ongoing negotiations among Iran, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
