The development is made up of the Sankofa Main, Sankofa East and Gye-Nyame fields, which hold around 500 million barrels of oil and 40 bcm of gas. Sankofa crude has 28.9 degrees API with 0.3% sulphur.
Cape Three Points:
The Cape Three Points Deepwater block encompasses an area of 5,146 square kilometres in water depths ranging from 200 to 3,000 metres in the Tano Basin.
Sankofa-1A:
The Sankofa-1A well is 38 km east of the Jubilee field and 21 km east of the Odum discovery. The well was suspended for re-entry while the target reservoir was cored and a wireline logging programme was undertaken.

Yinson Production (West Africa) Pte Ltd (YPWA): Contract for the chartering, operation and maintenance of a FPSO facility by Eni Ghana exploration & production ltd. at the Offshore Cape Three Points Block
KANFA AS (a subsidiary of Sevan Marine ASA): LOA for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for four process modules for the FPSO Yinson Production. The contract is expected to have a duration of 15 months with a contract value of approximately US$50 million.
Maersk Drilling: Contract for employment of the newbuild drillship Maersk Voyager. The firm contract period is 3.5 years with an option to extend by one year. The total estimated revenue from the firm contract is US$545 million including mobilisation and escalations. Maersk Voyager will work on the Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP) Project offshore Ghana with expected beginning in July 2015.
GE: US$850 million order across its oil and gas business for the supply of equipment to the Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP) Block, Ghana. This order incorporates both turbomachinery and subsea elements, with the first shipment planned for fourth-quarter 2015. Further shipments are planned in order to deliver first oil by 2017. The turbomachinery solutions scope, consisting of three LM2500+G4 Gas Turbines for power generation and four Centrifugal Compressors Electric Motor Driven, will be delivered solely by GE.
PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC): Contract to build topsides modules for the floating production, storage and offloading vessel bound for Eni\\\'s Offshore Cape Three Points area of Ghana.
Oceaneering International, Inc. (as part of a consortium with GE Oil & Gas): Contract to supply equipment for the Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP) Block Project development located off the coast of West Africa. Oceaneering’s scope of work under this contract is to supply electro-hydraulic, steel tube umbilicals totaling approximately 51 kilometres (32 miles) in length.
National Oilwell Varco (NOV): Contract from Eni to supply flexible pipes for the Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP) deep-water oil and gas project.
TechnipFMC: Awarded a contract for the onshore part of the Offshore Cape Three Points development by Eni Ghana E&P. Under the contract, TechnipFMC will perform the project management, engineering, supply, construction and commissioning for the onshore receiving facilities located in Sanzule, which form part of the gas to power plan. Subcontractors:
Scana Offshore Vestby (Scana Industrier ASA’s subsidiary): Contract for delivery of mooring equipment to Yinson Production (West Africa) Pte Ltd in Singapore. The equipment will be used on an FPSO to Ghana OCTP Development Project. This is the first project where Scana will deliver equipment to Yinson Production.
Kongsberg Maritime: Contract to supply a complete Electrical, Instrument and Telecom solution, including E-house, for the new Yinson Production (West Africa) Pte Ltd FPSO, Yinson Genesis. The KonGSBERG scope of supply for the FPSO, which will be based on a conversion of the 1996 built VLCC tanker Yinson Genesis, includes complete integration engineering, electrical systems, E-house, instrument and telecom & surveillance equipment. KonGSBERG will also deliver its K-Chief 700 marine automation system for vessel control, K-Safe for fire, gas and safety including Process Shut Down (PSD) and Emergency Shut Down (ESD), and K-PRO for process control.
