The Borouge petrochemicals project Phase 3 is expected to increase capacity by 2.5 million tons/yr. The components of the Borouge 3 project include a 1.5 million tonne/year ethane cracker that will produce basic chemical feedstocks for the polyethylene and polypropylene plants, two polyethylene units with a capacity of 1.08 million tonne/year, two polypropylene units with output of 900,000 tonne/year and a 350,000 tonne/year low density polyethylene unit.
