Commissioned in 1982 and acquired by Rosneft in 2007, the Achinsk refinery is the only major refining complex in Krasnoyarsk, and is capable of processing around 7.5 million tpy (150,000 bpd) of crude oil. It typically processes above 140,000 bpd. Among its finished products are aviation and motor fuels, LPG, bitumen and granulated sulphur. It launched production of Euro-5 standard gasoline diesel in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
