Location: Angarsk, Irkutsk Oblast
Launch: 1955
Processing capacity – 205,000 bpd of oil.
Rosneft acquired the Angarsk Petrochemical Co. from a bankrupted Yukos in 2007. The refinery has a processing capacity of 10.2 million tpy (205,000 bpd) of oil. In 2014, it processed just under 10 million tonnes (200,000 bpd). It runs on Western Siberian crude, which it receives via the Transneft pipeline system.
The plant produces more than 200 types of products, including liquefied gases, gasolines, diesel fuel, jet fuel, propellants, as well as bitumen, coke, oils and chemicals of various grades. It produces around 700,000 tpy of naphtha, which is used as raw feedstock at an adjoining polymer plant. The facility can produce up to 200,000 tonnes of ethylene, 100,000 tonnes of propylene and 60,000 tonnes of benzene in a year.
