Khariyaga-Neft acquired subsoil rights to the Shushuksky block, which comprises the Shushukskoye oilfield in May 2004. Khariyaga began drilling a well at the site in March 2016 and the completion was expected within 15 months. The well will reach a depth of 3,060 metres. Rosnedra estimates reserves at Shushukskoye at 108 million barrels of oil and 17.6 bcm of gas, although Khariyaga claimed in July 2016 the site could contain up to 300 million barrels of oil.
