The Jizzakh Refinery is located in eastern Jizzakh region, Uzbekistan. The US$2.2 million Jizzakh refinery will annually produce more than 3.7 MMt of gasoline, more than 700,000 t of jet fuel and about 300,000 t of other oil products annually, to be sold both domestically and abroad. Uzbekistan started construction of the 5 million-tonne/year grassroots refinery on 27 April 2017, which will use oil imported from Russia and Kazakhstan. It will be one of the unique industrial facilities not only in Uzbekistan, but also in the whole Central Asian region. The design will use international norms and standards on ensuring industrial and ecological safety, environmental protection.
