Project Profile

Location - PL 235 & PL 231, onshore Weald Basin, south-east England.
Reserves - 83 million barrels 2P as of 2013.
Production - 150 BOPD (projected 2017).

Brockham was first discovered with BP’s BR-X1 well in 1987, which encountered oil in Portland sandstones. There are now three wells with one completed as a water injector, but the BR-2Y hole producing around 35 bpd was shut-in during 2016 to allow drilling a new sidetrack. The appraisal was intended to assess an oil updip in the Portland Sandstone and evaluate whether the Kimmeridge and Corallian formations represented a continuation of the naturally fractured rocks found at UK Oil and Gas’ nearby Horse Hill prospect, which have tested at around 1,688 bopd.

Operator - Angus Energy (65% in Brockham, 60% in Lidsey).

Partners - Terrain Energy (10% at Brockham, 10% at Lidsey), Doriemus PLC (20%), Brockham

Capital Ltd. (10%), Alba Minerals (5% at Brockham)
