Project Ikhwezi is important in PetroSA\'s drive to sustain its gas-to- liquids refinery in Mossel Bay in the Western Cape. PetroSA is searching for additional gas reserves to supplement supplies from existing gas fields in order to extend the refinery\'s life span. Production from the field, which is located off South Africa\'s south coast, is expected by 2013. The gas field is 40km southeast of an existing PetroSA production platform.
Drilling is expected to begin in July 2012 and production from the first well is expected in the first quarter of 2013. Production from the second and third wells is expected in the second quarter of 2014, while production from the fourth and fifth wells could start in the second quarter of 2015. PetroSA\'s board earlier in 2011 granted a final investment decision, which gave the company the green light to go ahead with the project.

– “As built” post installation survey.
