Project Profile
Location: North Sea, Norway
Depth: 120 metres
Exploration start-up: 1986
The Frigg Gama Delta Field (PL 442) is located in the North Sea offshore Norway. The area in this license constitutes a part of block 25/2 and 25/3. The licence also covers the Frigg Gama Delta crude oil field and Langfjellet field. The PL442 licence was acquired by LOTOS Norge in 2013 as part of the Heimdal assets.
Well 25/2-10 S was drilled on the Frigg Gamma structure in 1986 and proved oil and gas. The discovery is located about 20 kilometres east of the Frigg field in the North Sea. The water depth in the area is about 120 metres. The reservoir contains oil and gas in sandstones of the Eocene Frigg Formation and lies at a depth of about 1,900 metres. The resources also include the Frigg Delta structure, where well 25/2-17 was drilled in 2009, resulting in an oil discovery at the same reservoir level.
