The Vostochno-Taimyrsky block is located in the Taimyr Dolgano-Nenets district of the Krasnoyarsk region. LUKOIL-West Siberia, a fully-owned subsidiary of LUKOIL, will operate the block with a 100% interest. The area of the Vostochno-Taimyrsky block is 13,800 square km and the concession period is 27 years. The size of the initial payment for the right to use the block was 2 billion rubles (US$28 million). According to an estimate made in 2009, the site contains 4.5 million tonnes (33 million barrels) of oil, 9.3 bcm of natural gas and 0.5 million tonnes (4.5 million barrels) of gas condensate in D2 reserves.
