Project Profile

Location: P2260, Southern North Sea, UK
Reserves: 2.1 MMBoe (Elgood), 6 BCF or 1 MMBoe (Hambleton discovery) and 5.3 MMBoe (Tetley and Rebellion prospects)
Start-up Year: 2019

Independent Oil and Gas (IOG) has been awarded Block 48/22c in the UK 28th offshore licensing round. The licence area has been increased by 42 km2 to the South and now contains the Hambleton discovery. On 6th November 2014 the Company was awarded 100% of Block 48/22c containing the Elgood discovery and requested the Department of Energy and Climate Change (\'DECC\') increase the licence area to include the Hambleton discovery. This has now been confirmed and the licence has been formally awarded. Hambleton was discovered by Century Exploration in 2005.

The Elgood discovery was drilled by Enterprise Oil in 1991 and tested gas to surface at 17.6 MMcfd but was not progressed by Enterprise due to size and gas prices at that time. The Hambleton discovery, to the south of the same licence, was drilled by Century Exploration in 2005 but also was not progressed to development. Reprocessing of existing 3D seismic across 48/22a and 48/22c is required to determine whether Elgood connects to Cronx which would boost recoverable reserves significantly.

Elgood

Elgood is a relatively small discovery close to Blythe and contains an internally estimated P50 22 BCF of recoverable gas. It is expected to be developed via a single subsea well and tied back to a platform at Blythe. The Field Development Plan is being prepared with submission to the OGA expected in mid-2017.

Probabilistic estimates of the P90/P50/P10 gas initially in place for Elgood are 26/35/48 bcf.

Operators:

Independent Oil and Gas (IOG): Operator with 100% interest

Contractors:

Baker Hughes: Contract for the provision of oilfield services on the project. The additional Baker Hughes work to evaluate the prospectivity beneath the Skipper discovery and also to evaluate other Southern North Sea (SNS) prospects and discoveries including Truman, Harvey, Hambleton, Tetley & Rebellion is expected to start once the final report is completed and subject to IOG’s funding.
