The Manhattan prospect is located in the UK North Sea. Manhattan has been estimated to hold 84 million barrels in P50 oil reserves in Upper Jurassic Fulmar sands. The Manhattan Prospect, located in Nexen-operated UKCS Blocks 22/13b, 22/14d, 22/18b and 22/19b, is an Upper Jurassic Fulmar prospect with potentially large reserves in a structural/stratigraphic trap. Manhattan is located adjacent to the E.ON-operated Huntington oil field. The license is south of the Huntington field, operated by E.On E&P. Nexen Energy ULC operates Manhattan with 40.5% interest. GDF Suez holds 25%, Carrizo Oil & Gas Inc., 12% and E.On E&P has a 22.5% interest in the project.
