The Zulu Prospect is located in the Utsire High Area of Norway and is estimated to contain 54 MMboe of Net unrisked prospective resources. The PL 674 licence is located close to the Johan Sverdrup field and include block 16/3, 16/6, 17/1, 17/2, 25/12 and 26/10.The reservoir consists of Miocene age sandstones within the Utsira Formation. The operator of the prospect is Lundin Petroleum with a 35% interest, followed by Petrolia Norway who has a 35% interest and E.ON contains the remaining 30%. Lundin Petroleum estimates the Zulu prospect to have the potential to contain unrisked, gross prospective resources of 153 million barrels of oil (MMboe). The planned total depth is 1,020 metres below mean sea level and the well will be drilled using the semisubmersible drilling unit Island Innovator.
