North Buzachi (Buzashinskoye) field is located in the Mangistau Oblast, 250 kilometres to the north from Aktau, Kazakhstan. Production in 2012 was 2 million tonnes of oil and 94 million cubic metres of gas. LUKOIL\'s share in investment from the start of the project (since 2006) was more than US$250 million. LUKOIL had plans to invest up to US$0.5 billion in development of the project till 2021. Maximum production from the project was expected to reach 2.2 million tonnes by 2016. The field is being developed under a subsoil use contract signed on May 29, 1997. The term of the contract is 25 years.

Production in 2012 was 2 million tons of oil (LUKOIL's share was 0.5 million tons) and 94 million cubic metres of gas (LUKOIL's share was 23.5 million cubic metres). LUKOIL's share in investment from the start of the project (since 2006) has exceeded US$250 million. The total number of employees is around 800, 96% of whom are Kazakhstan nationals. LUKOIL plans to invest up to US$0.5 billion in development of the project till 2021. Maximum production from the project is expected to reach 2.2 million tons by 2016. Operator is the JV Buzachi Operating Ltd. in which CNPC holds the 50% and Caspian Investments the other 50% (Sinopec 50% and LUKOIL 50% of Caspian Investments). The field is being developed under a subsoil use contract signed on May 29, 1997. The term of the contract is 25 years.
