Total Lindsey Oil Refinery (Total LOR) is currently Britain\'s third largest, with a processing capacity in excess of 10 million tonnes per annum (over 200,000 barrels per day) and is located in Eastfield Road in North Killingholme, North Lincolnshire, England. Coming on-stream in 1968, and now incorporating some of the most advanced refining and conversion processes available, Total LOR has the flexibility to process over 40 different types of crude oil, with the refinery ideally situated geographically to take advantage of North Sea oil, which accounts for between 85% and 95% of the refinery feedstock.
Currently 35 different finished product specifications are produced at Total LOR, which are distributed around the UK by road, rail, sea and underground pipelines. Total LOR has a comprehensive logistics infrastructure, with its Killingholme Road Loading Terminal based adjacent to the refinery, and has storage facilities at strategic locations throughout the UK.
Since April 2013, it has been operating as a standalone legal entity, within Total’s Refining and Chemicals division. Not only does Total LOR incorporate the 1,000 strong team of employees and contractors based at the refinery in North Lincolnshire, it also now includes the Nottingham terminal operations, the Finaline pipeline, as well as a commercial fuel sales team based in the South East.
