Gazprom and Czech energy player MND Group built a US$128 million underground gas storage facility in the Czech Republic. The new facility is situated in Damborice, south Moravia will have a working gas capacity of 456 million cubic metres. It is named Damborice Gas Storage Facility and is operated under the Moravia Gas Storage JV between Gazprom and MND Group. Construction started in 2014, and Damborice represented 12% of Czech Republic\'s gas storage capacity following launch in July 2016. In March 2015, the European Court of Justice ruled that Damborice must open third-party access to outside suppliers. The decision overturned an edict from Prague which exempted Damborice from sharing with gas suppliers excepting MND Group and Gazprom.
