Remaining 2P reserves (Dec 2015): 100,000 barrels of oil, plus 2.1 bcf of gas. (Total) 400,000 barrels of oil equivalents.
In Ukraine JKX Oil & Gas’ wholly-owned subsidiary Poltava Petroleum Company (PPC) holds 100% interest in the Zaplavskoye exploration licence in the Poltava region of Ukraine. The license surrounds the Ignatovskoye, Molchanovskoye and Novo-Nikolaevskoye licenses and following its extension in 2014, now comprises an area of 173 square km and is valid until 2019.
As of March 2016, work is continuing on the Novo-Nikolaevskoye Complex with an ongoing study of seismic rocks, inversion, and reservoir characteristics. JKX hopes this will de-risk additional drilling locations in the Zaplavskoye exploration area.
The main exploration well is Z-04, which was completed and tested in 2012. Well Z-04 is located to the northwest of the Novo-Nikolaevskoye group of fields within the recently acquired 41.9 sq km extension of the existing Zaplavskoye exploration licence. E
Condensate rich gas is being produced for the first time in the Novo-Nikolaevskoye area from this particular Visean reservoir layer The well flowed at a rate of 20.8 MMcfd of gas and 1,040 barrels per day of condensate though a 41/64-inch choke with a flowing wellhead pressure of 2,684 psi. The well has been tied back to the main Novo-Nikolaevskoye complex processing facility with a 9km flow line and placed on production. Well Z-04 was drilled to a total depth of 2,937 metres and penetrated over 20 metres of Visean sandstones. It was plugged and abandoned in the fourth quarter of 2014 amid a deteriorating capital investment climate in Ukraine which prompted JKX to halt all capital expenditure until conditions improved.
