The Sean North, South and Sean East fields are small gas fields located in block 49/25a. They are situated 100 km of the coast of Norfolk in 30m of water. Shell-operated Sean is a gas field in the Southern North Sea; BP\'s share of production from the field is equivalent to 18,000 barrels of oil per day. Total net proven and probable (2P) reserves to SSE are expected to be 1.7 billion therms over the life of the field, with the possibility of additional resource through infill drilling. BP agreed to sell its interest in the Sean gas field to SSE plc for US$288 million. Transaction is expected to be completed during 1Q 2013.
Sean comprises excellent reservoir quality. The Sean field produces gas via 2 platforms, Sean Papa and Sean Romeo. Sean Papa comprises 2 bridge-linked platforms: a wellhead and compression platform (PD) and a production and accommodation platform (PP). Sean Romeo is connected to Sean Papa through a 20” duplex line. Per the effective date of the acquisition (1 July 2014), ONE’s production increased from ca 11 kboe/d to ca 20 kboe/d. In mid 2017 an infill well will target a partially drained part of the Sean field, increasing production and reserves.

Contractors:
Petrofac: Contract to support Oranje-Nassau Energie (ONE) UK Limited. The contract, for Duty Holder Support Services, is worth US$45 million over three years, with the option of two one-year extensions, and commences immediately. The Sean assets comprise a manned, bridge-linked wellhead and production platform, a normally unmanned installation and a 30” export pipeline to Bacton. The contract will support around 40 on and offshore jobs and will see Petrofac provide operations and maintenance services plus a range of ancillary functions.
