Project Profile
Value: Undisclosed
Location: PL385 in the Norwegian Sea
Reserves: Unknown
A discovery at a gas condensate prospect well being drilled by Statoil in the Norwegian Sea is thought to be non commercial. Further test are, however, to be carried out on the Jette probe to more accurately determine its resource potential. Statoil spudded the well in late October 2012 using Seadrill\'s semi-submersible West Alpha. It was to be drilled to a total depth of 4,352 metres about 16 kilometres northwest of the producing Norne field. Drilling was expected to last around 60 days.
Statoil holds a 45% operated interest in the licence, with partners Noreco and Dong Energy each on 20% and North Energy on 15%.
