West Med holds four discoveries Abu Sir, El Max, El King and Al Bahig located in 3,000 to 4,000 feet of water and containing 1.5 trillion cubic feet of gas.
PHASE 1: US$538 million to develop Abu Sir, El Max and El King Miocene finds. To cover the drilling of two new wells and completion of five others along with a 75 km subsea pipeline and construction of a 500 MMcf/d onshore gas plant with export pipeline.
PHASE 2: £386 million will involve another nine wells on the Al Bahig and El King Pliocene finds to keep production near 400 MMcf/d.
West Med Block 1 is located offshore Egypt, within the Nile Delta Basin, in the deep waters of the Mediterranean Sea, around 80km northwest of Alexandria.
