Milejow Shale Gas License was a direct award licence issued to Composite in November 2010 by the Polish authorities and covers an area of 372 km2. The license is located in the district of Gmina Kawęczyn, within Turek County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. The primary interest in Milejow is for shale gas where Composite has previously identified sizeable shale gas potential. CBM forms a substantial secondary target. Milejow is adjacent to several blocks held by ExxonMobil, who have already completed one shale gas well in the basin. An independent resource certification exercise was conducted during 2011 and Milejow is estimated to hold 9.5 Tcf of gross OGIP. The Milejow CBM work programme in 2011 included the acquisition of seismic data. Dart is currently imaging the shale potential and assessing a possible extension of the existing CBM play fairway on this block.
