Project Profile
Location: License 7/06, Danish North Sea, 165 miles west of Esbjerg
Water Depth: 207 ft (63 m)
Located in a water depth of 207 feet (63 metres), Rau field is situated in License 7/06 in the Danish North Sea, about 165 miles (265 kilometres) west of Esbjerg.
Drilled by the Noble George Sauvageau jackup, the Rau-1 exploration well encountered movable oil in Paleocene sandstone reservoirs. Additionally, three deviated sidetracks were drilled to appraise the lateral extent and size of the Rau oil accumulation. All sidetracks found oil, and confirmed the reservoir model and the extent of the Rau oil accumulation.
The Rau field is located 9km from the Cecile production platform. The field development proposals include subsea/unmanned jacket tie-back to Cecile or a manned processing platform on field location.
