The Cormorant oil field is located 161 kilometres (100 mi) northeast of Lerwick, Shetland, Scotland, in block number 211/26a. It was discovered in September 1972 at a depth of 150 metres (490 ft). Estimated recovery is 90 million barrels (14×106 m3) of oil. The oil reservoir is located at a depth of 2,895 metres (9,498 ft). Taqa is currently the owner and the operator of the field, with 100% interest in the field.

Bilfinger Salamis UK (part of Bilfinger Group): Contract performed from head office in Aberdeen, handling extensive inspection and maintenance activities. The services to be provided include offshore inspection enactment including conventional and advanced NDT; scaffolding access; rope access, coating; insulation; specialist cleaning; asbestos work; norm removal, and passive fire protection.
Harkand: Contract to perform pipeline inspections at its fields in the UK central and northern North Sea. The program, due to start in summer 2016, will include project management and engineering services. It is part of a frame agreement between the two organizations initiated in 2011. (March 2016)
Wood Group: Two year contract extending its service provision for TAQA in the North Sea. Under the contract, which has the option of three, one year extensions, Wood Group PSN will continue to deliver engineering, construction and maintenance services to five offshore assets; Cormorant Alpha, North Cormorant, Eider, Tern and Harding. Effective immediately, the contract extends an agreement in place since 2008. (March 2016)
