Chayandinskoye is situated in the Lensky District of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) in Russia\'s Far East. Gazprom was awarded subsoil rights to the field in April 2008, and a development plan was approved in September 2010 and a final investment decision (FID) was reached two years later. Production is scheduled to start sometime between 2019 and 2021, to coincide with the launch of Gazprom\'s Power of Siberia pipeline system, which will transport gas from the Chayandinskoye deposit to China.
