Vale is a gas and condensate field located about 16 km north of Heimdal. The field is developed with a seabed template tied to the Heimdal facility by a pipeline system. The field commenced production in May 2002 with Hydro as operator, followed by Statoil after the merger of the two companies in 2007. The change of operator also entails that Centrica takes over Statoil’s interest in the production licence.
Operators:
Centrica: Operator with 50% interest
LOTOS Exploration & Production Norge: 25.8% interest
PGNiG Upstream International: 24.2% interest
