Water Depth: 67m/ 221ft

The South East Tor field is located on Block 2/5 in Production License 006C in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea in 67 metres of water. Lundin operates the license with a 75% stake; while Noreco holds 15%; and Faroe holds the remaining percent. South East Tor was discovered through wildcat well 2/5-3, located about 8 kilometres of the Tor field. The well was suspended on June 15, 1972 as an oil discovery. In 1973, appraisal well 2/5-5 was spudded with the Zapata Explorer jackup and drilled TD at 3,456 metres in Late Cretaceous Tor formation. The well was then abandoned on Feb. 9, 1973 as an oil appraisal. The field was further appraised through well 2/5-8 with the Dyvi Stena semisub and drilled to TD at 3,367 metres in the late Cretaceous Hod formation. Appraisal well 2/5-8 was permanently abandoned on Nov. 5, 1988 as a dry well with shows. In October 2015, Faroe acquired from Lundin a 75% interest in the production license.
