Project Profile
Location: Offshore North Sea, Denmark
The Luna prospect lies in the DK 01/11 license offshore Denmark. From recent research on this project by the ProjectsOGP analyst team (October 2016), it was found that the spudding of the Luna-1X well took place in February 2012. The Maersk Resolve rig targeted between 196 million and 490 million barrels of oil equivalent (mmboe) of gross resources at the prospect. The well is located approximately 150 kilometres north-west of Esbjerg in Denmark. The prospect is covered under the 1/11 licence.
However, it was later found in March 2012 that the well did not encounter hydrocarbons.
Noreco, as operator, holds a 47% stake in the licence with partners Elko Energy (33%) and the Danish North Sea.
