Project Profile
Capacity: 1 billion cubic meters of gas (First phase)
Start-up year: Phase 1: 2015, Phase 2: Unknown
Value 140 billion rubles (US$2.482 billion)
The preliminary project envisages completion of the first phase of the complex by 2015 and the second phase by 2017. Capacity upon completion of the first phase will be 1 billion cubic meters of gas, which will increase to 4 billion cubic meters under a planned second phase.
The first phase was launched in 2015 after engineering was undertaken by LUKOIL-Energoengineering. In June 2015, Lukoil’s Stavropol unit launched a new 135 MW CGT thermal power station on the site of the gas chemical complex, part of the largest gas distributed energy facility in southern Russia.
