Project Profile
Value: US$800 Million
Location: Mer Profonde Sud Block, offshore the Republic of Congo
Reserves: 100-250m boe
Production: 8,000 barrels of oil per day (from Azurite only)
Capacity FPSO: storage capacity of 1.4 million barrels of oil, processing capacity of 60,000 b/d of fluids, or 40,000 b/d of oil, and natural gas compression capacity of 18 MMcf/d
Depth: 4,488 feet of water
Start-up Year: 2011
The Mer Profonde Sud (MPS) block is located in 4,488 feet of water. The Azurite Marine #2 produced almost 8,000 barrels of oil per day from a single zone. Azurite\'s oil-in-place \"bookends\" stand at 60 million and 120 million. The resource range for the Turquoise Marine discovery along with the Cobalt Marine prospect at 100-250m boe. The development scenario, depending on the reserves, will either be a 28km tie-back to the Azurite floating production, drilling, storage and offloading vessel or a standalone floating production unit.
The FDPSO could be a conversion from VLCC MT Europe. Following the conversion, the FDSPO will have a storage capacity of 1.4 million barrels of oil and a processing capacity of 60,000 b/d of fluids, or 40,000 b/d of oil, and natural gas compression capacity of 18 MMcf/d. The FDPSO will have a moonpool to be used for drilling purposes, with drilling package modules and a derrick integrated into the FDPSO. The Turquoise discovery development scenario is based around a tie-back to the Azurite field.
