The project will see the development of the Cosmos structure in the Cosmos Concession in the Gulf of Hammamet around 45km, offshore Tunisia. The Cosmos Sud structure was drilled and tested in 1983, and oil was produced from the Birsa sands of Miocene age. The field has estimated reserves of 6.3 million barrels of recoverable oil. It will be produced via a producer/injector pair tied back to a FPSO that will be redeployable on Yasmin, Tazerka or Fushia.
