The project involves the construction of a floating regasification terminal, built by modifying a gas ship, located 22 kilometres from the Tuscan coast and connected to the mainland by a pipeline of about 30 kilometres to send the gas to the national grid. The terminal will have a regasification capacity of 3.75 billion cubic metres per year corresponding to 4% of national demand, an average of regasification capacity of 11 million cubic metres per day and a storage capacity of 137,500 cubic metres of LNG. The terminal will allow the berthing of LNG ships with capacities of between 65,000 and 138,000 cubic metres of LNG.
