A gas discovery had been made in the secondary Cortina target from the Exploration well 6407/5-2S drilled on PL471 in the Norwegian Sea
The exploration well discovered a 40 metre gross gas column in the Upper and Middle Jurassic sandstones of the Rogn and Garn formations.
A potential development opportunity for the discovery is a tie-back as part of a larger field development to surrounding infrastructure.
The discovery is located approximately 10 km southwest of the Mikkel field.
