The Uvat development is located 800 kilometres northeast of the city of Tyumen. The facilities at the development include a reservoir pressure maintenance system, a pump station and the second phase of a central crude collection unit. The project will also see the construction of 300 km of pipelines, over 500 km of roads and 200 km of power lines, all in the Uvat area. The exploration is already under way. TNK-BP\'s Uvat project includes 15 license areas, which cover 26,500 square kilometres and contain an estimated 1.3 billion bbl of recoverable reserves. The Severo-Demyanskiy, Chirpskiy, Ligiyarskiy, and Kalchinskiy license areas are registered to Tyumenneftegaz (100% subsidiary of TNK-BP); the Ust-Tegusskiy, Urnenskiy, Pikhtovyi, Yuzhno-Pikhtovyi, and Severo-Bolotnyi license areas to TNK-Uvat (100% subsidiary of TNK-BP), and the Keumskiy license area is registered to TNK-BP. In 2008, TNK-BP returned its licenses for exploration and development of the Ururnyi and Irtyshskiy license areas to Rosnedra.
