Project Profile
Value: US$100 million
Location: Norwegian Continental Shelf, PL/407
Estimated resources: 39 - 63 million boe
Start-up Year: 2016
Water depth: 115 m
The project will see the development of an offshore oil field which was discovered in 1972, but was not developed. The field is located around 120 kilometres south-west of Stavanger, far from existing infrastructure, and production tests at the time flowed at up to 1,000 bpd of 30 degree API oil. The development will most likely see the redeployment of an existing FPSO unit. This may be linked to four oil producers and two water injectors, with an export line transporting the hydrocarbons to the Yme field. Other concepts that were being looked at included a tie-back to Yme and a jackup platform linked up to an FSO.
