The EWS field lies in the West of the Western Siberian Basin. The fields proven and probable reserves in the basin are estimated at 70bn barrels.
EWS-1 - The EWS-15 appraisal well reported oil at the Jurassic P reservoir at a depth of 1,827m with a net pay of 12.6m of oil with an API of 36-40. The EWS-35 appraisal well reported a flow of 470bbl/d with 14.6m of pay at 1,837m.
EWS-2 - The EWS-101 well has reported oil at the Jurassic 2-3 reservoir at 1,957m and the Jurassic 4 reservoir at 1,970m reporting 4.6m and 9m respectively.
